ADA Lifts Installed at HACR
The Housing Authority of the City of Richmond has made significant improvements agency-wide over the last 4 years and continues to move forward!
Currently, the agency is working on giving a "lift" to those with disabilities to make it easier for everyone to access the agency's main office at 58 S 15th St. Both the rear entrance and main front entrance will have ADA-compliant "lifts" (already installed at the rear entrance and in progress at the front entrance). Also, new handicap parking areas, walkways, and wheelchair access to the lifts and office entryways will be completed soon!
Other recent significant safety enhancements agency-wide include upgraded fire safety systems and new fire safety devices in the Reverend James M. Townsend Memorial Building, Merle Henderson Building, Southview Community Room and apartments, Jerry Geier Community Room and apartments, Bobby Smith apartments, and NSP homes.
The Housing Authority of the City of Richmond cares about our residents and the surrounding community, and we look forward to continued partnerships to help make many more improvements agency-wide in the future to provide affordable, safe housing for those in need!
Wishing everyone a safe and happy New Year!
