Resident Relations and Community Partnership Coordinator

The Housing Authority of the City of Richmond is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of "Resident Relations and Community Partnership Coordinator".  This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer. 

A SUMMARY OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the delivery of services, and implementation of strategies and programs which improve the quality of life of residents of HACR. Accountable for achieving targeted department results, performance and quality service standards, and preparing appropriate analyses. Negotiates and develops partnerships with community service providers and local businesses. Obtains and manages funding and other resources necessary to support the work of the position and agency.  Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Develops work methods and related support systems to effectively assess the economic and social needs of residents within the Agency's communities on a continuous basis.

  • Develops and implements resident service programs through the establishment of long range program goals. Directs prioritized strategic initiatives that provide a broad range of social services.

  • Negotiates and secures inter-agency agreements with social service providers, and coordinates the referral of a broad range of services, including: job counseling, training and placement assistance; health care assistance; educational assistance; legal assistance; life skills support training; family crisis intervention; and entrepreneurial skills training.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Urban Studies, Public Administration or related field from an accredited College or University, or a combination of education and/or experience that would allow an individual to perform the requirements of the job. Four (4) years of applicable work experience supervising or delivering programs designed to provide educational, recreational, social development, or increased capabilities training for clients of different ages.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Driver's license required. May be required to obtain additional training or certifications related to the job.  Must be bondable.
